United Nations Climate Change conference Copenhagen 2009- COP15
COP15 is the 15th UN Climate Change summit that is taking place in the City of Copenhagen in Denmark, from December 7th to the 18th of December 2009.
And I will have the pleasure to give you guys, a daily report about the largest international political conference ever hosted by the Danish government, with participants from 192 countries in the world, representing governments, the business community, and the civil society.
This conference has such an importance because the world is facing a major challenge. And we cannot continue to use fossil fuels the way we do today. Scientists have laid out the risks we face and it has become clearer than ever that now is the time to take serious action on climate change. But, if we do not act today, the opportunity will not only slip out of our hands but it will also become much more expensive to carry out the necessary low-carbon transition in the future.
